The Early Bird Catches The Boat
The Sound Approach have teamed up with the Poole RSPB group to offer school children across Poole, Bournemouth and Purbeck the chance to discover the unique, world-renowned bird and wildlife of Poole Harbour in free school boat trips.
The trips, which come at no cost to parents, schools or local authorities, will give children a fascinating insight into the habitats and behaviours of the birds and wildlife in the World’s second largest natural harbour.
All the trips will be led by the Sound Approach’s Poole-raised wildlife expert, Paul Morton, on specially-commissioned Brownsea Island Ferries.
The trips are running for school groups at least once a week, excluding holidays, from the end of September 2012 until the beginning of March 2013 and are aimed at Years 4-7. We’ve had a fantastic response with all the trips now fully booked for the season, if you would like more information about how you can get your school involved next year please contact Paul Morton at The Sound Approach on 01202 641004 or email paul.morton@lush.co.uk
