We're thrilled to announce that our first title The Sound Approach to birding is now available on iTunes......
Back in October 2013 we were pleased to announce that Magnus Robb and the rest our Sound Approach team had discovered a new species owl to science, the Omani Owl strix omanensis.
Below is the press release relating to the exciting new Sound Approach discovery of the Omani Owl, a brand new species for science.
These sound recordings, sonagrams and the photo refer to the recently accepted second Blyth’s Pipit for Portugal, as far as we know the most westerly ever. It was found by Magnus Robb, who heard it then saw it while on the island of Berlenga, Leiria on 13 October 2010. In the first recording, you can hear the two main call types of Blyth’s, a long one and a short one.
