Lush

Lush Limited

Lush Cosmetics

Towards the end of 2010, we were invited to participate in an unusual collaboration encompassing cosmetics, folk music and bird song. Simon Emmerson, who provided the soundtrack to Birding From The Hip, had been asked by Lush Cosmetics to compose new music for a set of CDs that draw deeply on both a love of folk music and bird song. The result is an innovative project, put together partly to act as a sound accompaniment to Lush’s various spa treatments and massages, yet also a stand-alone musical pleasure.

Recordings of petrels, yellowhammers, ravens, and corn buntings, amongst others, sit comfortably alongside sea shanties, Egyptian reggae, and traditional folk, and we are honoured to hear our sounds in this new environment.

Head over to Lush’s website to find out more and have a listen.

 Birds of Poole Harbour

We are pleased to announce we have teamed up with the new ‘Birds of Poole Harbour’ group. With the launch of the Sound Approach’s fourth title ‘Catching the Bug’ last year, it made sense for us to help promote this new educational conservation group.  The website aims to help boost the profile of birds and bird conservation at this internationally important site, whilst providing an interactive platform to learn about the birds of Poole Harbour. The Sound Approach also sponsors their ground breaking webcam project. located on Brownsea Island lagoon, this features the breeding Sandwich and Common Tern colony in the summer months and the vast wintering flocks of waders and wildfowl in the winter. Take a look at this fantastic website…..http://www.birdsofpooleharbour.co.uk/
